Just when you think summer campaigns have come to an end, a brand suddenly releases one and surprises everyone. Summer campaigns are a common strategy used by various brands to captivate consumers during the summer season. It is a time when people are generally more active and receptive to engaging with brands. With summer coming to an end, there was more room for one last epic campaign.

Pepsi has just released its summer campaign and even though it is a bit late, it still captured the exact summer vibes, the brand also included a huge surprise appearance that shocked us all.

Pepsi Extra Fizz: Celebrity Endorsement At Its Finest

Pepsi has surprised us with the best collaboration in its new campaign.

Today Pepsi released its brand new campaign under the name “The Street Is Full of Surprises”; the name of the campaign actually delivers the the idea of the campaign accurately. The advert takes place in Alexandria and since the street is full of surprises, Pepsi collaborated with the iconic football players Dejan Lovren and The Egyptian King Mo Salah.

The advert’s idea goes as follows, as both of the players hide from the eyes of the public, they try oriental food like Kebda, Hawawshy, Koshary, and so on. After all of these meals, it’s Pepsi’s turn to appear with its new edition.

The advert’s goal is to promote the new Pepsi edition, Extra Fizz.

Promoting Tourism In The Best Way

Throughout the advert, you can see the beautiful sceneries of Alexandria and the best oriental food.

If you think the advert promotes the new edition of Pepsi, then think again. Throughout the advert, you can see the beauty of Alexandria and how delicious its food is as Salah and Lovren try Kebda, Hawawshy, and so on. Usually, the food is a contributing factor when it comes to visiting a place; Alexandria is famous for its delicious food and it is known for its Kebda (Liver) and Hawawshy.

The use of background music is also special as the brand used the iconic song “Sawah” by the legendary singer Abdelhalim Hafez but with a touch of modernism. The song also resembles Lovren since he is a tourist “Touring” Alexandria.

Pepsi Never Fails To Be Creative

Even though Pepsi sometimes disappears from the advertisement scene, this disappearance is usually followed by an epic advert.

A stronger fizz means more effective digesting. It is common for people to drink Pepsi so they can digest food, especially if it is a full meal. So, relating the new extra fizz edition with food is definitely creative.

As for the choice of celebrities, who couldn’t do it better than Mo Salah? No one. Also, collaborating with Lovren is a plus as his relationship with Salah is always trending because of how strong and funny their friendship is. This brings us to connecting the idea of sharing delicious food with best friends.

Pepsi can be crowned as the best brand to launch creative campaigns.

Expectations For Virality

As the advert was released a couple of hours ago, we expect it to go viral and gain millions of views.

7 hours ago, the advert was released and so far, it has over 30K views on YouTube and very positive feedback. We expect by tomorrow the copy will get over a million views, especially with Lovren starring in the advert.

So far, the advert received very promising feedback and everyone is praising Salah, Lovren, the brand, and the advert’s idea.

Pepsi may not always launch campaigns like the other brands, but it makes sure that when it does, it sets the bar extremely high.
