Etisalat-community-fanpage-facebook-2013Etisalat Egypt face totally unlucky start for 2013 . Etisalat Digital Marketing Team have lost 1,340,516 likers for more than 28 hrs as it seams that Etisalat Community fan page on Facebook have disappeared for unknown reason!

History Glimpse :

The leading mobile operator fan page was ranked Egypt’s 5th biggest brand fan page on Facebook .

While Etisalat was the last mobile operator to enter the Egyptian market but! yet gained powerful digital presence on social media as they developed their digital profile to be ranked 2nd biggest Egyptian mobile operator fan page on Facebook after Vodafone Egypt and before Mobinil.

Etisalat digital marketing team have put their finger prints on Facebook and they developed a really creative engagement strategy .

The Millionaire Minutes was one of the booming ideas as they gave the member no. 1M a check with 1M free minutes celebrating joining the millionaire club on Facebook and they also developed a successive waves for the promotional campaigns online and offline.

Where did it go ?

Etisalat Official account have admitted the fact through two separate tweets , The first came on 12:07 AM – 3 Jan 2013 CLT as a reply for a customer inquiry …

Ironically Etisalat fan page appeared in google search but with non nonfunctional link .

On 4th of Jan at 12:02am the page came back to life again with a respectful apology statement :

We are not sure yet about the technical reasons why the page disappeared , But! for sure a high level communication with Facebook administration was involved . As both Etisalat & Facebook involved in a previous cooperation with exclusive free data access for Etisalat customers :

We also noticed that no remarkable change applied to the fan page name Etisalat Misr (community)
