Clorox and UNICEF Unite Against COVID-19

The coronavirus’s rapid spread affected the whole world, with some countries imposing curfews, while some others are enforcing a complete lockdown. All while asking people to take the necessary precautions to avoid catching the virus – which includes the regular sterilization of hard surfaces.

The World Health Organization, Food and Drug Administration, and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention highly recommended bleach as effective sanitizing liquid. Having that said, one of the sterilization brands that proved its efficiency against COVID-19 is Clorox especially Clorox Liquid Bleach and Clorox Multi-purpose Trigger since they contain sodium hypochlorite that kills 99.99 percent of viruses, including COVID-19 when you use it to sanitize hard surfaces. Therefore, they are now essential products in the sterilization process.

Clorox and UNICEF Collaborate to Fight COVID-19

Clorox is an American global manufacturer; its main message believes that cleaning matters and it is the start of new possibilities. It has been in the Egyptian market for 35 years. It has made its way into every Egyptian home as an essential cleaning product and stain remover.

Since it was announced that Clorox bleach is an efficient disinfecting liquid that can help protect us against the COVID-19 when it is used to sanitize hard surfaces, people and companies started using it almost daily, since it is the most trusted product to fight the coronavirus.

Therefore, Household Cleaning Products Company Egypt (HCPC) that produces Clorox announced that they collaborated with UNICEF to support the Egyptian Ministry of Health and Population to limit the spread of the coronavirus. The collaboration entails donating 6000 liters of Clorox Liquid Bleach on a weekly basis to contribute to the government’s needs and in line with WHO safety and hygiene measures.

However Clorox’s collaborations didn’t end here, the brand announced that it will collaborate with the Ministry of Social Solidarity by donating Clorox Bleach to sanitize some nursing homes to help limit the spread of the virus for a period of two months. The delivery will be through ARAMEX for free in solidarity with their contribution.

HCPC Applies a Strict Sterilizing Process

Amidst all the collaborations, HCPC is enforcing a strict hygiene policy upon its offices, factories, and storage premises to ensure the hygienic and safety measures are applied efficiently in order to minimize the risk of infection.

Clorox Spreading Awareness on Social Media

Clorox utilized its social media platforms to spread awareness and help minimize the spread of the virus. The brand has been running campaigns under the slogan “When it really matters, trust Clorox”. They have been giving people tips and tricks on how to use Clorox in sterilizing; what you can sterilize, how and what are the materials that shouldn’t be mixed with Clorox.

The brand is urging everyone to follow the precautions to maintain public safety to get through this difficult time. Remember, Stay home and stay safe.
