They have been bankers to The FA for over a century, sponsored the Football League from 1987 to 1993 and since 2001 have been title sponsor of the Barclays Premier League, the world’s most popular domestic football competition.
Barclays has created a film to thank global fans of the Barclays Premier League following a similar ad thanking UK fans in August.
Both films were created by BBH and the latest aims to acknowledge the support of fans in over 200 countries who follow the Barclays Premier League.
The film depicts an African father and son who support Arsenal, a group of Tottenham Hotspur fans in America and a Manchester United fan in Hong Kong.
Barclays’ sponsorship of the Premier League runs to the end of the 2015/16 season, which will complete 15 years of sponsorship.
