Two months and a half is how long the Palestinians are being killed and two months are how long people have been talking about Palestine and Gaza. We can’t help but notice that when the genocide started, many people were actively talking about it, exposing the truth about Israel and talking about Palestinian journalists who are covering the crimes live. As time is getting longer, we can see people slowly starting to get back to their normal content without mentioning Palestine or what is still happening there.

This is why, we are writing this article to show you that Palestine is not a trend.

Palestine Is Not A Trend

What has been happening in Palestine was not a trend nor exciting news that can be used for newsjacking or trend-jacking, it’s a war crime that should be spoken of to gain the world’s attention and to educate people.

Many people, platforms, and content creators talk about Palestine just because they have to, they consider it as a trend like any trend and that they’re supposed to talk about it to create relevant content.

Unfortunately, after a while, some people stopped talking about Gaza and started creating their random content; just like any trend, it takes its time and fades away. This is where the problem lies, what is happening in Gaza is not a trend to talk about just to be relevant, it is a crime against humanity that we need to keep talking about to raise more awareness.

Keep in mind that many people are now supporting Palestine because they discovered the truth from the published content.

Palestine Is Not Raw Material For Content

The Genocide is not a source of content to increase your reach and number of likes, it is a crime against humanity that should be talked about to end.

Some people used the genocide for their benefit, they created content out of it just to gain more popularity, and when they did, they stopped the Palestinian content to create something different. Yes, you are allowed to create different content especially if it is your source of income, but you can’t ignore the ethnic cleansing and talking about something else. You can either create both types of content or you can always create content relevant to Palestine, even if you want to explain its culture and not just the Israeli crimes.

Why We Should Keep Talking About Gaza

The ethnic cleansing and genocide Israel is doing against the Palestinians has been happening for over two months, we should keep shedding light on the terrorism Israel is causing.

If you would compare how people became aware of the situation, you’d find that many people started to support Palestine right after many content creators started talking about the genocide. While we are unable to physically help the Palestinians, the least we can do is talk about what is happening to them.

The amount of video content that was shared all over the social media platforms helped many people understand the truth about Israel and how it is an apartheid state. It also made millions of people demand a cease-fire and protest against the U.S. government and any government that supports Israel.

Keep Using Your Platform To Talk About Palestine

Instagram and Facebook are still banning and removing Palestinian content, which is one of the reasons why we should still talk about Palestine.

Many pro-Palestine platforms on Instagram and Facebook have reported that Instagram tried to delete their accounts, delete their posts, and hide their content, which led us to the conclusion that we need to keep talking and sharing content about Palestine.

The world has to know that Israel is still bombing Palestine and over 20K Palestinians including children were killed. Whenever social media tries to silence you, know that it is because your voice is making a difference.

This is a reminder for you to use your voice and social media platform for Palestine.
