It’s almost 5 weeks of the Palestinian genocide in Gaza and 5 weeks of people calling out for help in all different parts of the whole world. The more time passes the more people find out the truth about Palestine.
What has been happening is affecting everyone on a global scale and even affected businesses. One of the biggest impacts of the war is how it is affecting the field of content creation. For the first time, we see content creators produce content serving one cause yet in different ways.
The genocide is not just affecting public figure’s content but also brands and digital platforms.
Here’s how the genocide in Gaza is affecting content creation.
Creating Content To Raise Awareness
Every public figure in Egypt and other countries used their platform to speak the truth.
Ever since the massacre against the Palestinians started many people have taken their platform as an opportunity to raise awareness regarding what is happening and the history of Palestine. Many public figures and influencers decided to create videos in English to raise awareness regarding the history of Palestine so that Western people could understand it, while others are creating content to keep people updated on what is happening in Gaza and the crimes that the IDF is doing to the Palestinians.
You can also find that many platforms and public figures are always sharing Palestinian accounts that do live coverage.
Publishing Creative Content To Show Support
We have seen many brands showing support in different ways, whether; some by donating, and others by boycotting.
Many brands have changed some of their designs to the map of Palestine or the Palestinian flag. Other brands joined the boycott and decided to stop selling the products that come from companies that support Israel. Other than that almost all of the brands are donating 20% of their revenue to aid Gaza. All of this support was announced through posting content on social media.
Multiple platforms are only focusing their content on what is happening in Palestine and creating content related to Palestine, from explaining the watermelon symbol to sharing the original map of Palestine.
Putting All Ideas On Hold
Many platforms and brands decided to stop publishing content due to the genocide of the Palestinians.
Many brands, platforms, and public figures have decided to stop publishing and posting their content due to what is happening in Gaza as they felt that it is inappropriate to be laughing, sharing, daily routines, or publishing entertaining content while Palestinians are being massacred every day for 24 hours.
No platform can share different ideas like they used, they all generate ideas related to Palestine to be able to raise awareness.
Creating A Different Type Of Content
People have been creating different types of content for a month to serve one cause.
From creating reels, and videos, to social media posts; people have been using every type of content to support Gaza and share the dark brutal history of the occupation. Many platforms have published old photos of Palestine before the occupation, and photos of people in their homes that they were kicked out from.
Some also go live to discuss what is happening. So, people are using social media platforms in every possible way.
The Content In Egypt Is Serving One Cause And One Cause Only
For the first time, content creators are all working for the greater good and showing their creative ideas to serve Gaza.
Right now each platform and person is focusing on what is happening in Gaza, we are all creating and sharing content to serve this cause only. Some people can’t even share their interests and their daily routines anymore, every single post or story is about Palestine.
This unity is one of a kind, and it is the very first time we see this huge number of people coming together to speak up. We only hope that people don’t get bored and keep creating content about Palestine.
