Today marks the first of the holy month of Ramadan and all brands will unravel their Ramadan campaign. We can’t be more excited to see what the brands have prepared for Ramadan and which one will win and which one will flop.

1- Personal Appeal2- Endorsement Appeal3- Romantic Appeal4- Music Appeal5- Potential Appeal6- Pain Solution Appeal7- Status Appeal

Before we watch all the campaigns today, we wanted to tell you what the most popular advertisement appeals that Ramadan campaigns will depend on are.

There are 23 advertisement appeals but we will mention the ones we might be seeing in Ramadan campaigns.

Remember that one advert can include more than one advertisement appeal, it can be 2 or 3 advertisement appeals in one advert.

1- Personal Appeal

Personal appeal triggers your emotions through the script, the music, or the visuals.

This type of advertisement appeals urges you to take an action towards its product by triggering your anger emotions, sympathy, sadness, or happiness.

This can be seen in all the NGO’s campaigns, whether it’s 57357 Hospital, Magdy Yaciub Foundations, 500 500 Hospital, and Egyptian Food Bank.

2- Endorsement Appeal

This appeal is probably the most used in Ramadan campaigns as it depends on collaborating with celebrities.

You can find this type of advertisement appeal in adverts by telecom companies, such as Vodafone, Etisalat, Orange, and Telecom Egypt. Real Estate campaigns also depend on this endorsement as they always have to collaborate with an actor or a singer.

3- Romantic Appeal

This is also one of the most commonly used appeals in Ramadan.

A romantic appeal is when an advert tells a love story between a couple in the advert. You can, also, spot this appeal in Real Estate campaigns, Telecom companies, and white goods and home appliances.

4- Music Appeal

Music can take the advert to another level of success and one single song can be the reason why an advert goes viral.

Every advert that presents its product through a song is depending on the music appeal.

For example, Banque Misr, Vodafone, and Fresh

5- Potential Appeal

The main goal of using this advertisement appeal is to encourage people to follow their dreams, never give up and realize their potential. The most popular brand that always uses this appeal in its Ramadan campaigns is Banque Misr.

There’s not a single Ramadan where Banque Misr didn’t release a song that can lift one’s spirit up.

6- Pain Solution Appeal

In the advert, this appeal focuses more on the problem its product can solve rather than the product itself.

If you have seen an advert where you felt the urge to buy the product because it will help you solve your problems, then this advert used the pain solution appeal.

You can see this in the below adverts.

7- Status Appeal

This appeal uses the product’s effect on the life of its consumer.

This can be found in real estate brands as they all show you what luxurious life the compound residents are living.

These are the most commonly used advertisement appeals in Ramadan campaigns. Do you think there will be more?
