Almost everything changes when the holy month of Ramadan starts, right from the work system to even our behavior. When the month starts you will notice that your colleagues’ personalities can be categorized as fasting has a different effect on each and every one of us.

Contents
  • 1- The Neuritic
  • 2- The Complainer
  • 3- The Coffee Addict
  • 4- The One Who Criticizes and Analyzes All The Adverts
  • 5- The One Who’s Following Up With All The Ramadan TV Series
  • 6- The Quiet One

This is why today we will tell you about some types of employees/colleagues you will find at work.

1- The Neuritic

You probably avoid this employee as during fasting, they always look angry and impatient.

If your colleague is a smoker, then they will probably be neuritic during the whole month as the lack of nicotine will have a strong effect on them during fasting. Also, some employees can’t get enough sleep during Ramadan, so you might find them always annoyed due to the lack of sleep.

This is why it is advised to either avoid them or talk gently with them and if they started to be annoyed just run for your life.

2- The Complainer

You know this colleague who always complains during Ramadan, this is who we’re talking about.

The complainer will always find anything to complain about because they feel exhausted 24/7. They will complain about being thirsty, hungry, or having too much work to do or they will complain about how they can’t focus properly while fasting.

Whenever someone hands them a new task, you’ll find them too frustrated; but honestly, we kind of understand how they feel.

3- The Coffee Addict

Almost everyone complains about the lack of coffee during Ramadan and how they can’t cope with it.

Just so you know, this type suffers from a terrible headache during fasting; you will always find them sleepy, having a headache, and not focusing properly. The lack of caffeine has a really strong effect as some people can’t even start their day without coffee, so, imagine how they feel going 30 days without their morning coffee.

4- The One Who Criticizes and Analyzes All The Adverts

You will find this type coming to work excited to discuss with you the adverts.

They will start analyzing and criticizing every advert and which one wasn’t creative enough and which one was. They will ask you if you’ve seen the adverts and if you said no, they will probably make you watch it or send it to you.

You will also find them always singing the adverts’ jingles.. As listening to them on TV wasn’t enough.

5- The One Who’s Following Up With All The Ramadan TV Series

You always have this one colleague who watches almost all of the Ramadan series and discusses them at work.

This type is similar to the previous one but instead of talking about adverts; they always look extremely excited to talk about their favorite series and they will always start the conversation with “Have you seen yesterday’s episode?!!!” And then they’ll start telling you how the whole series started.

6- The Quiet One

This type usually just suffers in silence, they’re always out of energy during fasting and probably the ones to always say “Ba’d El-Eid”.

You will find them sitting in their office trying to avoid any type of interaction until the day ends. They probably suffer from the lack of coffee, lack of sleep, and everything we mentioned earlier. They will also probably finish their work on time so they can leave immediately.

Usually, after Ramadan ends, you will find them all getting back to their normal routine and becoming the colleagues you know.
