AI Tools To Take More Control
Since we witnessed the emergence of different AI tools in 2023, AI is expected to have more control and play a crucial role in marketing next year.
This year we have seen AI tools like Cha GPT and more go viral and even trigger people’s anxiety as they believe AI will replace employees soon. While this idea is almost impossible, we still believe that next year might offer more AI tools as the evolution of AI never stops and it never fails to amaze and shock us at the same time.
More Focus On Local Brands
In the past couple of months, people have been discovering Egyptian brands that are way better than global ones; we expect that in 2024 we will witness the rise of more Egyptian brands.
Ever since the boycott started many people have been consuming Egyptian brands, which led them to discover high-quality products. This makes us believe that in 2024, people will focus more on Egyptian brands and start replacing global ones.
Also, we think more Egyptian brands will be launched since this is the new trend now. People avoid purchasing from any brands that relate to Israel by any means, this will lead to seeking more hidden gems in Egypt.
Influencer Marketing To Increase
Many influencers had a positive impact by using their platforms to post content in different languages educating people on Palestine. This might increase influencer marketing in 2024.
While some people believe that influencers are not so much of a use. Yet when the tragic genocide of the Palestinians occurred, influencers had a very positive role in raising awareness.
Due to this positive role the influencers played, it is predictable that we will see more of their content next year, we also won’t be surprised if they are featured in campaigns, especially during the holy month of Ramadan.
New Local Brands To Join The Race of Advertisement
The rise of brands like Spiro Spathise, V7, and many more makes us believe that we will soon see their adverts on TV.
By now we are extremely ready to see new advertisements from Egyptian brands that never participated in the adverts race before. This is super exciting as these brands might be bringing new ideas to the table and we might see new creative directions in campaigns. We also believe that we will definitely see a campaign by Sprio Spathise and most probably it will depend on the theme of nostalgia… Pretty much expected but we think it will be with a unique twist.
The Popularity Of “Cancel Culture” Will Increase
The boycott has led many people to cancel many brands and many celebrities, while it might not be on a global scale, it happened in many countries.
The cancel culture is when people decide to cancel a public figure or a brand due to their unethical behavior; the boycott we’re all doing is part of the cancel culture. Due to the genocide that some brands are funding, many people decided to boycott these brands and call them terrorists, which led to major losses.
During the boycott, it was reported that McDonald’s and Starbucks’ revenue went down and a Starbucks branch was shut down. Also, brands like Zara and Marks and Spencer had to remove their social media posts and apologize for posting their campaigns mocking what is happening in Gaza.
This shows that in 2024, the cancel culture will be very popular and no one will be afraid to announce that they are boycotting a certain brand or a certain public figure. As much as this culture can be unfair, it is still one of the best since it exposes what is wrong with society.
Local Brands VS. Global Brands
It is expected that 2024 will have too many campaigns and offers as local and global brands will try their best to win more customers.
Since the holy month of Ramadan is known to be the season of adverts race, it is expected that we will see many brands competing on being the one with the best advert. While we’re not sure how global brands will plan their campaigns in the new year especially in Ramadan, we are sure that the local ones will have no mercy and will try to win the race of adverts.
