With nine of his family members, Hollywood superstar Will Smith, arrived in Cairo on Sunday 5/3/2017 coming from Morocco to visit tourist sites in Egypt.

Early this morning Will Smith and his family paid a visit to the Giza Plateau where they met renowned archaeologist Zahi Hawass, who guided the family on a tour around the Sphinx and inside the Great Pyramid of Khufu.

Hollywood’s superstar had breakfast at the pyramids before taking a two-hour tour of the Sphinx and the Pyramids of Giza. Hawas and Smith met before dawn and got to witness the sunrise above the pyramids.

The tour included members of the Ministry of Antiquities, including Ashraf Mohy El-Den, director-general of the Giza Plateau, who described Smith’s amazement while exploring the area.

“Smith was impressed with the Pharaoh’s legacy, and he stated that he was obsessed with it ever since he was a little kid and always dreamed of being an Egyptologist in order to discover the secrets of the Pharaohs,” quoted archaeologist and Egyptologist Ashraf Mohie El-Din, the official in charge of the Pyramids plateau who also accompanied the Hollywood star during the visit, as saying.
