#SpeakUp – PSA to End Violence Against Women – Domestic Violence

UN Women’s Egypt Country Office, in collaboration with the National Council for Women, has produced a campaign on Ending Violence Against Women called “Mateskotoosh” (‘Speak Up’), which addresses domestic violence . Part two of the campaign highlights the need for everybody to come together to end violence against women (VAW). There is growing recognition for VAW as a serious, yet preventable problem, given the right community commitment to it. In particular, domestic violence and sexual harassment are the two crucial forms of VAW that require people’s actions to stop. Referencing that the “Mateskotoosh” campaign is an attempt to mobilize society to take a stand against VAW, we are doing so collectively by supporting a culture of ‘Mateskotoosh’ (speaking up) and addressing the problem.

The campaign was made possible with the generous support from the Government of Japan, USAID and UNDP and executed by Fortune Promoseven Cairo Agency
