Vodafone Egypt offers 4G technology in “Cairo ICT 2016”

“Vodafone Egypt” – the leading mobile operator in Egypt– participates in the 20th International Exhibition of Information and Communication Technology “Cairo ICT2016” by presenting the latest telecom solutions and services.

Stefano Gastaut, Vodafone Egypt CEO stated “Vodafone always provides all what’s is new in the world of digital technology and offers its customers with the best mobile and internet services experience”.

Gastaut added “launching the 4G technology puts Egypt on the right track of development and progress. It achieves the dream of transforming Egypt into a digital advanced world by utilizing 4G applications. It also features in data transfer to develop all aspects of the users’ daily life. Moreover, it helps the government sector and the business sector to provide more efficient and sophisticated services”.

Vodafone Egypt CEO highlighted that Vodafone is keen to present several solutions and services to benefit from the 4G technology in different sectors contributing to the development of the Egyptian society.

In its outstanding Cairo ICT booth, Vodafone presents a number of services which serves different sectors such as education, health, security surveillance, home automation and business sector. Adding to that Vodafone is always keen to empower people with special needs by tailoring specialized 4G applications for them to facilitate their daily lives.

Mohamed AbdAllah – Enterprise Business Unit Director and member of the Executive Committee of Vodafone Egypt, revealed a range of services and applications that reflect the company’s keenness to offer the technology of the future to meet the needs of the business sector to help improve its performance. These services include:

Business sector services “Ready Business”

Vodafone Ready Security: This year, the exhibition has witnessed the launch of “Vodafone Ready Security” service, under the slogan of “”خليك دايما مطمن “Be Always Secured”; which is a security surveillance technological solution to fulfill the customers’ security needs for securing their facilities and businesses.

Ready School

“Ready Schools” solutions help in developing the education system in Egypt by connecting the elements of the educational process together (student -school – parents). It does this using technological innovative solutions and special applications on smart mobile devices. Thus, through creating a communication channel between the parents and the school administration, parents can follow up on their children’s performance through “business SMS”. They can also be directly informed by a short text message with their children’s academic performance as well as respond to any inquiries or announcements.

Smart Home Services (Home Automation)

Home automation provides access to control devices in your home from a mobile device anywhere in the world. home automation describes homes in which nearly everything — lights, appliances, electrical outlets, heating and cooling systems — are connected to a remotely controllable network. From a home security perspective, this also includes your alarm system, all doors, windows, locks, smoke detectors, surveillance cameras and any other sensors that are linked to it.

Wearables:

Vodafone has introduced a new service using small a “GPS” tracking device containing a “SIM” card that is connected to the internet. This device can be worn by children and the elderly so that parents or relatives can locate and contact them around the clock through their mobile phones.

Application to help the blind and visually impaired in their daily lives (E3rafly)

Vodafone surprises do not end here: Out of the company’s belief in the rights of its customers with special needs to enjoy all the privileges and services the company provides, Vodafone has launched the mobile phone application (E3rafly) for the blind and visually impaired community to troubleshoot their daily pressing challenges.

The application enables the visually impaired to determine colors, barcodes, Vodafone recharge cards and charge them, recognize the taxi fare by reading the taxi meter as well as count and recognize the value of monetary bills in real time.
