We have seen 8’280 different persons visiting that part of the exhibition hall where our expo stand was.” this came to us in an email from Walkabase – one of Global Webit Congress exhibitors – the number is extracted from the special analytics system they have used to measure the effectiveness of the GWC 2014 for them. On 1-2 October 2014 the 6th Global Webit Congress took place in the fabulous city of Istanbul.
We would like to express our special thanks to all attendees who came to GWC’14 from the record breaking number of 110 visiting countries. Over 59% of all attendees this year (2% more than last year) were C-level executives. 69% of all attendees were from Europe (Western Europe 17%, Central and Eastern Europe 24%, Turkey 28%), 20% came from Middle East and Africa, 6% from Asia, 4% from USA, 1% – rest of the world.
The Global Webit Congress hosted 3 major events – the Digital Marketing and Innovation Conference, the Leaders of the Future Tech Summit and the Founders Games.
Over 200 partners (sponsors and exhibitors) supported the Global Webit Congress 2014. Among them were AlJazeera, Criteo, Yandex, Amazon, Softlayer, Webtrekk, Fjord, OMD, ViVaki, Marin Software, Getty Images, Livefyre, Fiksu, Gfk, Iponweb, Infobib, Stafanini, PayPal, Seamles, Naspers, Microsoft, Twitter and many more. Some of the top global digital, marketing, advertising, payment, commerce, media and tech experts and investors spoke on the Webit ’14 stages.
The Congress attendees produced over 30’000 tweets during the two days of Webit, 185’000 watched the live streaming of the conference agenda. Over 10 000 visited the Congress during the 2 days.
The special Platinum Experience was the new add on to the Global Webit Congress ’14. Some 400 attendees who booked their Platinum tickets along with the speakers had 3 days of totally unparalleled business networking experience – both inside the Webit venue and during the special events – including CEOs Lunch, Leaders Lunch, the Chairman’s Dinner, The Inferno VIP Trip and the Hammam Night along the others.
The Famous Webit Party in 2014 was powered by Fashion TV and attracted over 3000 of the Webit attendees to the man-made island of Suada – between Europe and Asia who partied till early morning. “Even though we have faced some organizational issues and we had to cancel a large number of exhibitors due to unprecedented issue with local authorities, the 6th edition of the Global Webit Congress 2014 was a huge success” shared the Chairman of the board – Plamen Russev.
“We have established the Global Webit Congress as a premier global gathering of the top media, digital and tech experts providing a 360 degree business networking with top C-level executives from 110 countries. As many of Webit attendees shared – whoever you rub shoulders with at Webit is a decision maker from the markets he or she represents, which are predominately from within EMEA and Asia.” says Russev.
Next Global Webit Congress 2015 shall take place again in Istanbul – at the cross roads of Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia in October ’15. The dates are to be announced soon.
