We’ve all been there in that one tough spot of having to adapt or even abide by what a client wants, needs, or demands. However, clients differ. They’re not all the same and their types vary from one person to another. And since Eid Al-Adha is at the door and the pressure is rising with so many demands and needs from your clients, we’ve wrapped up in this piece the 5 types of clients that you get to meet during Eid and what their demands may be.
The Peaceful Client: Rare But There
This is the client we all wish for. The peaceful client is the one who sends you a warm Eid greeting with minimal to no demands and wishes you a calm Eid with your family. I know they’re rare, and for that reason they must be protected at all costs.
The “Last Minute Approval” Client
This is someone that we all as marketers from different departments have met, seen, and begged God to make them look at their emails, messages, or phones. The “last-minute approval client” is someone who can’t just grant you peace and approvals from the very first time. You have to chase after them. You have to call them endlessly. You have to lose a bit of your sanity in order to get an Eid Greeting publishing green light.
The “Phantom” Client
Getting ghosted in a relationship has always been heartbreaking, but when you’re working, it all comes down to the client’s simple existence to approve something or even give you a direction to begin with. The phantom client is the type that ghosts you when you need their presence the most. This makes them one of the types that cause splitting migraines, as they don’t even leave space for a trail that you can chase or reach out to.
The “Never-Ending Amendments” Client
There is that one client that we all wish we could never deal with. Because that specific type has a thing for sending 1000 amendments regarding their Eid greeting. Tiring? Very. Stressful? No doubt. It all comes down to never resting with the never-ending amendments from a client who keeps on spiraling you in a loop after another that includes endless tweaks and edits.
The “I Want It to Be More Client
This one hates certain directions and loves to be vague. A client who never tells you what’s on their mind specifically. This client always wants it more. More different, more vibrant, more in terms of the general “more.” Dealing with this client requires a certain amount of people skills that allow you to read what they mean and wish for so you won’t be stuck with their generalizations.
Wrapping This Up!
Eid Al-Adha is a season that has only one problem: a worthy vacation that is a bit lengthy. Six days off and everyone is panicking as they want all their work done before people start tuning out. And because clients come in different colors and personalities, it is important to know who to expect this Eid (and every other upcoming one as well).
