Brands and agencies know that “Back to the Future” fans have been waiting for this day for decades. To celebrate the date 21 Oct. 2015 marks Back to the Future Day – the date Marty McFly and Doc Brown time travel to in the 1989 blockbuster Back to the Future II. A number of brands featured in the film classic time-travelling trilogy gave them a futuristic makeover to set the scene for what 1989 thought today would look like.

Pepsi Perfect: The Future is Now
Earlier this month, Pepsi announced the arrival of “Pepsi Perfect,” the soda that Marty McFly ordered in the second film in the trilogy. The soda will be sold online in very limited quantities. Only 6,500 16.9 oz bottles in collectible cases are available, and they aren’t cheap: Each one sells for $20.15.
BURGER KING: HOVER TRAY
To celebrate, Burger King France has released an online film that is full of references to the classic comedy. The spot introduces Burger King’s (fake) answer to crowded restaurants, the hovertray. The film was created by Louis Audard and Tristan Daltroff from Buzzman, and directed by Roman Quirot through Les Improductibles.
