Rise Up Summit is being held from 12 to 14 October at ‘The Creek Campus’ ‘The GrEEK Campus’ which located in the center of Cairo the largest gathering of environment entrepreneurship in Egypt, as announced by the organizers of the summit on Wednesday. The Summit is ready to receive nearly 3,000 attendees during the three days, and will include a group of distinguished local, regional and international speakers. Announced the details at a news conference each of Abdul Hameed Sharara, the founder of the summit, Ahmed EL Alfy, the founder of The Creek Campus, Dina El Mufti, Executive Director of INJAZ Egypt, Haba Gamal, Managing Director for the (Endeavor Egypt), Steve Haley, Executive Director for Mercy Corps, Ramz Mohammed, Executive Director Fast6Labs, and Catherina Ballout, director of operations at the MIT Enterprise Forum.
Over three days, the summit consists of twelve different tracks covers a variety of topics dealing with all the challenges faced by entrepreneurs, ranging from finance and even co-working spaces. It includes keynote speech to be given by Dave McLure, founding partner at 500 Startups, and Fadi Ghandour, ARAMEX founder and CEO, in addition to interviews with Christopher Schroeder, the well-known American investor, and Romy Sigl, a prominent entrepreneur from Austria.
The Rise Up team become stronger and bigger with total of nine people. After 2013 success, Sharara is now reinforced by three co-founders, including serial entrepreneur and angel investor Con O’Donnel, Gehad Hussein, and Mohamed Mansour.
Sharara said “I’ve learned a lot from the summit in 2013, but the most important lesson was to achieve success as a leader of the business through a difficult you can not walk it alone. This year round of Rise Up Summit will shed light on entrepreneurship in various sectors, such as technology, health care and food, beverages and handicrafts and energy. And will present the success stories of many Egyptian entrepreneurs and how they got to where they are today. The final detailed agenda for Rise Up 2014 will be available on the website of the summit within few days. It will include tracks on the inspirational talks, and panel discussions, round tables, workshops, and a trade show, and the opportunities to propose projects to investors and many other activities.
