Orange continues to dominate this Ramadan as one of the top trending topics on Google and YouTube, becoming one of the most sought-after ads of the season.
The brand opted for their own twist on the togetherness theme, teaming up with the additional theme of “love thy neighbor.” With catchy lyrics and a star-studded cast of stars such as Dhafer L’Abdine, Mohamed Mounir and Donia Samir Ghanem, the ad quickly caught on.
Orange’s Ramadan campaign grabbed the interests of so many people that it has trended on Google search, even being the 3rd most searched term for most of its 2nd day live with over 2k searches.
The brand on Facebook has also been holding onto the platform’s viewers, grabbing 37% of engagement and 51% of shares vs all of the telecom sector.

This year, Orange also dominated YouTube by being the highest trending telecommunications service provider on the video-streaming platform. Throughout Ramadan, the telecom company has stayed high above its competitors, with its highest ranking at number 5. (Data retrieved between 17 May to 26 May.)
It is plain to see that Orange’s ad is trending like crazy, beating out its competitors easily, as what could be the most popular telecom ad of the season.
Could Orange be 2018 most favored campaign?
The brand’s jump as the first brand to reach 1M views on Facebook (in 5 hours), and their long stay as the top trending telecom brand on YouTube could truly mean that the people have spoken.
Last year, Orange was able to win YouTube’s 2nd ever Lantern Awards through their performance on YouTube and creativity. The ad was “tremendously successful in driving high viewership, engagement, and retention amongst all candidates.”
“Humor, tradition, and popular persona were tied together through clever use of special effects which further accentuated the insight and popularity of the ad,” stated Google on the Lantern Awards’ page.
Orange could also easily be in the running for top spot again this year, especially with its powerful trending rate.
Do you think they have what it takes to win the Google Lantern Awards again this year?
