Pepsi, the iconic international brand has made a very important announcement; the brand has officially rebranded itself and got a new logo. Yes, the logo we have known for so many years is officially changed. If you were born in the late 80s or early 90s, the new logo will make you feel a little nostalgic as it is similar to the 90s logo.

Pepsi’s New Logo

Yesterday released a new video on its YouTube channel announcing its rebranding and its brand-new logo.

The new logo can be described as bold; as we have mentioned earlier, it looks similar to the 90s logo but with a touch of modernity and different font. The new logo has the word “Pepsi” written in black located in the center of the circle between the two colors Blue and Red with a black outline that surrounds the whole circle.

Todd Kaplan, Pepsi’s chief marketing officer stated, “It’s this lowercase, italicized font, the blue is a little bit muted … it doesn’t exude that confidence and energy that the brand really represents.”

The logo will be officially debuted in the US in the fall of 2023 and globally in 2024.

Why The Sudden Change?

The rebranding decision came in celebration of the brand’s 125th anniversary and throughout the years we have barely seen Pepsi go through any rebranding process; in fact, the last time Pepsi changed its logo was in 2008 and ever since then it remained the same. This is why it is a huge thing to see Pepsi finally move to the next level.

The new logo is also serving Pepsi’s current campaign of promoting Pepsi Zero Sugar. The brand has changed the recipe of its Zero Sugar and it launched a very creative campaign during the Superbowl that included a number of copies starring the famous actors Ben Stiller as his character “Derek Zoolander” from the “Zoolander” movie and Steve Martin.

Throwback To Old Pepsi Logos

Pepsi’s logo has changed multiple times, let’s have a look at the long journey that the Pepsi logo went through.

Some People Love It… Some People Don’t

The new logo has received huge feedback but it’s not all positive. Some people loved the new logo as it reminded them of the old one, while others hated it.

Pepsi has a new logo.

Unpopular opinion (maybe) but.. I kind of love it.

i like this new one a lot better than the one we had tbh but nothing will ever match the 2000s pepsi logo. i truly think this is peak graphic design and we've gone nowhere but down https://t.co/vBcXWjUaV9 pic.twitter.com/4pbCfTMW5H

Are Pepsi moving to France with this new logo? Not a fan

I also just realised how much Pepsi doesn’t look like a real word#branding pic.twitter.com/EqLG6nV6VG

We have to admit that the rebranding decision was a very big surprise to us and now we expect to see the new logo next year, but until then, share with us what you think about the new logo.
