The reports show that ‘Hyundai’, ‘Hospitality’ and ‘Apartments For Sale in Fifth Settlement’, topped the Autos, Jobs and Property sections respectively in OLX Egypt in 2015.

Cars section on OLX Egypt in 2015:
OLX Egypt Auto section revealed the preferred cars in 2015. The top searched cars by the Egyptians on OLX Egypt were Hyundai, Fiat, KIA, VW and Mitsubishi. However, the car ads on the platforms reveal that Egyptians prefer Korean cars over other brands. The top 5 listed cars were the Korean “Hyundai” with (72,083) ads, followed by (64,784) ads for the Italian car “Fiat”, the Korean car “Kia” had (45,258) ads, the American Chevrolet with (37,147) and finally the Korean Daewoo with (29,581) ads. These insights are powerful indications on how the Egyptian market operates and they are a great help for people who are planning to sell or buy cars in the future to use OLX Egypt as a facilitator.
Jobs section on OLX Egypt in 2015:
OLX Egypt revealed the top industries Egyptians searched for during the 365 days of 2015 were: sales, accounting, hospitality, secretarial and education. Hospitality recorded the highest vacancy ads with (119,808), followed by (49,315) ads in the sales industry, Accounting recorded (33,269) vacancy ads and marketing/public relations recorded (32,931) vacancy ads. Finally, the secretarial vacancies recorded (30,716) ads on OLX Egypt.
“The jobs section on OLX Egypt is a great place for all job seekers to look for their next career step, the report clearly shows which industries have the most opportunities for Egyptian talents and which skills are required in the market,” Touqan added.
Property section on OLX Egypt in 2015:
For the Property section on OLX Egypt, the results of 2015 present an overview on how the Egyptian market was operating during that period. In regards to the areas on demand in Egypt, Nasr city, Heliopolis and Maadi were the top searched areas on OLX Egypt platforms. On the other hand, the report shows the supply of apartments for rent last year and the results are: Nasr city ranked as the top area with (42,452) apartments available for rent via OLX Egypt, Fifth Settlement came in second with (39,139) ads followed by Mohandessin with (36,796) apartments for sale. Among the supply for apartment rentals, there were (212,913) 3-bedroom apartments, followed by (156,888) 2-bedroom apartments, and lastly (24,294) for 4-bedroom apartments for rent on OLX Egypt in 2015.
Furthermore, the top 3 areas on demand for apartments’ sale in Egypt were Nasr city, Fifth Settlement and 6th of October. In regards to the areas on supply for sale on OLX Egypt, Fifth Settlement recorded (170,720) ads, Nasr City (84,126) ads and 6th of October (76,134) ads. Amongst this supply for apartments for sale, (804,589) is the number of 3-bedroom apartments listed, (340,545) is the number of 2-bedroom apartments listed and (65,986) is the number of 4-bedroom apartments listed
