The Nokia 3310, one of the world’s most famous phones, will be re-launched this month in a revamped version!
Reports that a Finnish manufacturer will reissue ‘the world’s best-selling mobile phone’ have been met with joy and trepidation. Nokia could bring back one of its most beloved handsets over 16 years after it was first launched, according to a new report.
The Nokia 3310, released in 2000, sold 126 million units worldwide, making it the world’s best-selling mobile phone.
It achieved cult status due to its impressively long battery life, durability, and the addictive game Snake II.
Now HMD Global, the Finnish company with exclusive rights to market the Nokia brand, is reportedly planning to release a revamped version of the classic phone.
According to reports, the phone will initially be available only to European and North American consumers and will cost €59, significantly less than its original price in 2000 of £129.
News of the possible release has been met with a mixed response, with many expressing excitement over the return of a “beloved friend”:
If Nokia 3310 is coming back i will be the first one to buy it 😌 #Memories #Nokia3310

Nostalgia is a dish best served in the past. Leave the #Nokia3310 where it should be, don't sully the memory unnecessarily.

Only three things survive a nuclear holocaust. Cockroaches, Keith Vaz's political career and the Nokia 3310.
