Celebrating International Women’s Day and Egyptian Women’s Day, Nestlé Egypt launched ‘#LeadingTogether campaign to celebrate inspirational Egyptian women both within and beyond the company, and to highlight the major role women play in successful organizations.
The campaign comes in line with President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s announcement that 2017 will be the ‘Year of Egyptian women.’

Inclusion is leveraging those differences and valuing the contribution of everyone – women and men – towards achieving a common goal.” Nestlé Egypt’s Chairman & CEO, Yasser Abdulmalak, said during a speech to Nestlé staff.
“Diverse and inclusive companies are more innovative, more likely to capture new business opportunities and have better decision making. They are more able to win top talent and to attract, motivate & engage employees leading to higher performance and increasing returns.” he added.
On the journey towards building a gender-inclusive organization, Nestlé Egypt continues to ensure that women have strong representation in in senior leadership as well as management teams as such women now make up 20% of Nestle Egypt’s board of directors, 30% of management and 30% of total staff.
Acknowledging that there is still more that can be done, the company pledged to create more job opportunities for women in fields typically dominated by men such as Field Sales and Manufacturing.

Nestle Egypt also offers multiple training and development programmes for women in Egypt and abroad. Yasser Abdulmalak, Nestle Egypt’s Chairman & CEO, pledged to do all that it takes to create an environment that allows women to give everything to their family while still being able to pursue a successful career.

#LeadingTogether has been announced on the company’s official social media platforms. It is the latest in a series of effective initiatives aiming to improve the welfare and wellbeing of Egyptian women.
Among those initiatives are ‘Khamsa l’se7etek’ encouraging healthy nutrition & hygiene habits for women in rural areas as well as “Nestle, Start Healthy, Stay Healthy”, which aims at raising awareness about the benefits of breastfeeding for both mother and child.
