Facebook Inc Chief Executive Mark Zuckerberg on Facebook said he supported Muslims in his community and around the world.
Zuckerberg’s comments come after a rash of anti-Muslim sentiment following the attacks in Paris and the massacre in San Bernardino, particularly those made by leading Republican presidential candidate: Donald Trump. Trump has proposed a ban on Muslims entering the United States
Zuckerberg urged Muslims not to lose hope because of the hate speech that is being spread against them by remorseless politicians, such US presidential Candidate, Donald Trump, and some TV channels.
“As a Jew, my parents taught me that we must stand up against attacks on all communities. Even if an attack isn’t against you today, in time attacks on freedom for anyone will hurt everyone,” Zuckerberg wrote in a Facebook post. “If you’re a Muslim in this community, as the leader of Facebook I want you to know that you are always welcome here and that we will fight to protect your rights and create a peaceful and safe environment for you.”
I want to add my voice in support of Muslims in our community and around the world.
After the Paris attacks and hate…
