As tourism slowly climbs its way up due to economic issues, Saudi businessman Prince Alwaleed bin Talal and Egyptian businessman Hisham Talaat Mostafa are making it their business to help us out.

In a project that was previously estimated to be 1.6 billion EGP, Talaat Moustafa Group and Kingdom Holding company have purportedly sealed the deal with 7 billion ($380 million).

The joint venture will see the Four Seasons with an additional 800 rooms, making its total 1,400 rooms. This makes it the largest FS resort in the world, something that both businessmen are hoping will launch more tourism.

Upon the completion of the expansion project next year, Four Seasons Resort Sharm El Sheikh will be the world’s largest Four Seasons resort. The project is expected to positively affect tourism flow to Sharm El Sheikh.

The biggest and baddest in the world; does it work?

In the Unites States of America, local maps love to advertise the world’s largest things, depending on the state or city you’re in.

These roadside attractions have been around for decades, and have been known to attract large amounts of curious foreign and local tourists.

Things such as the world’s largest concrete dinosaur in the world’s 150-ton Apatosaurus (life sized dinosaur), located in California, are beloved by tourists and is visited all year around. Other examples are the world’s Largest Boomerang and Ball of Twine.

Looking at this, perhaps the creation of the world’s largest Four Seasons resort may prove to be a tourist new source of new experiences.
