The event will take place on the 14th of June and will be located at the Nile Ritz-Carlton in Cairo. CIO Summit will explore the theme of Accelerating Your Journey to a Digital-First World and the increasing pace of innovation. It will examine the region’s evolving technology landscape and present best practice strategies.

This will help organizations transform themselves into digitally resilient future enterprises.

IDC has made two important announcements; the first one is partnering with Gulf Business Machines (GBM) as it has been appointed as the event’s host partner.

This partnership is a continuation of the previous collaboration that happened last February as IDC and GBM have made February’s Middle East edition achieve huge success.

The second important announcement is that CIO Summit 2022 will be under the patronage of Egypt’s Ministry of Communication and Information Technology.

CIO Summit: The Most Anticipated Event

CIO Summit is one of the most anticipated events in the country.

The edition is serving as a platform of choice for prominent leaders, influential IT heads, and respected industry analysts from all around the world to share their experiences and exchange values and ideas.

In fact, IDC research states that 49% of CIOs in Egypt have brought their digital agendas by at least one year and 14% by almost two years following the upheaval of 2020. Many IT leaders are actively exploring new digital business models and ecosystem partnerships for the long term.

CIOs across Egypt are rethinking their leadership practices for a digital-first world whether by building resilient digital infrastructure or addressing the unique demands of the distributed workforce.

Nagia El Emary who is IDC’s country director for Egypt stated,

“This year, we are especially delighted to welcome GBM on board as Host Partner for the IDC Egypt CIO Summit,”

GBM is a leading end-to-end digital solutions provider with more than 30 years of experience. The company offers a huge portfolio that includes industry-leading digital infrastructure, digital business solutions, security, and services.

“Digital resiliency has become central to every organization’s digital agenda, and technology plays a central role in achieving this, which subsequently enables business resiliency,”

Says Amr Refaat, CEO of GBM Middle East.

So, if you’re interested in the tech field or building a career path in it, it is definitely recommended to attend this event as it will host many important speakers and you will be able to learn a lot to help you increase your knowledge and understand the market.
