This year in Saudi Arabia around Ramadan, people have searched for the word ‘Zakat’ so many times that it was trending at an all-time high since 2011 since they were trying to give back to their communities in this holy month. 

In Egypt, the word ‘Mangoes’ trended more than ever after a heatwave that destroyed some of the fruit’s crops. In fact, the news went viral all over social media and many Egyptians complained of the lack of mangos last summer. 

As for the United Arab Emirates, the word ‘Mars’ jumped to the top of trending charts as the first Arab-led space mission made its way into orbit around the planet Mars.
