We know Mohamed Salah is taking the Premier League by storm this season but for Egypt, the most iconic moment in 2017 was in October, when the entire country came to a standstill when Salah fired in the extra-time penalty against Congo to send Egypt to play with the big boys in Russia 2018.

A strong mental game is the secret behind the success of many athletes, politicians and professionals. Mo Salah fights every second, every moment, every sprint, every tackle, every shot. He fights. This is Salah. This is why he is the hero of every Egyptian.

In Egypt, football is more than just a game and all leading brands cannot afford not to be in the business of football. Throughout history Pepsi has brought joy to each generation while connecting Egyptian fans with the world’s most popular sport, football.

Back in 2016, Egypt’s star Mohamed Salah has signed a deal with the fizzy giant drinks brand Pepsi-Cola, becoming the brand’s new face in the Middle East and North Africa.

We aim to keep providing our star and national treasure with our full ongoing support” stated Omar Farid, PepsiCo President, Middle East and North Africa.

“I am very pleased that the partnership with Pepsi is continuing for a third year. This year has been my best year on the field so far and it is bound to get more exciting with the remainder of this season and with the National Team” stated Mohamed Salah.
