From Hamaki to Wegz to the late Soad Hosny, the 2025 NBE Ramadan Campaign is one that is raising the success standard for this year’s marketing campaigns. The campaign, called “جواك عالم يغير العالم”. Translates to: “Inside you is a world that could change the world,” is one that blends the richness of Egyptian history with modern technological advancements. Ones that are becoming an integral part of our lives. The ad features Egyptian artists Hamaki and Wegz. That is, with a twist of AI that features Soad Hosny aka “The Cinderella of the Arabian Cinema Screen.”

If you’re into Egyptian songs you would know that going from Hamaki to Wegz is something that definitely needs someone with mood swings. However, this collaboration is one that highlights the core message of the campaign. Mohamed Hamaki, renowned for his emotive performances. Along with and Wegz, a trailblazer in the Egyptian underground, collaborate to create a dynamic musical experience. Their synergy not only bridges different musical genres but also symbolizes the unity of tradition and modernity, which reflects the campaign’s message.

The Enchanting Return of Soad Hosny

The main charming touch that captured many’s attention was the featuring of Soad Hosny. An iconic actress whose charm and talent captivated audiences from the 1960s to the 90s. Through the integration of sophisticated AI technology, Hosny’s likeness is digitally recreated to share the screen with Hamaki and Wegz. This digital resurrection is a blend of highlighting her great legacy along with the demonstration of AI’s potential. This potential bridges generational gaps and helps the bank’s customers to realize their goals easily and without any technological hassles. This inclusion adds a nostalgic layer that resonates deeply with audiences who remember her fondly. Additionally, it introduces the late actress to newer generations.

Merging History with Egypt’s Modern Day: A Visual Journey

The new NBE campaign is a visual masterpiece that indulges you in an aesthetic journey. Viewers are taken on a journey through time. One that highlights the difference between Egypt’s historical scenes and the enhanced contemporary imagery of today’s streets. They start witnessing the evolution of Egyptian society through the display of the Egyptian Pyramids of Giza along with modern cityscapes. This display aims to blend and showcase the nation’s progressive nature along with its rich history. Moreover, this display is one that emphasizes the continuity and resilience of Egyptian culture.

Spotlight on NBE’s Technological Innovations

This newest NBE campaign aims to put the spotlight on all their new features. These features are designed to enhance customer experience through digitalization, AI-driven technology, personalized banking solutions, and enhanced security measures. Some of the top features are the new NBE and Apple Pay integration, now you can use your iPhone as your wallet and pay for any and everything with it.

Additionally, the Cash Away feature is one that allows NBE members to withdraw cash from any POS machine. You’ll find them all listed on their website without additional withdrawal fees applied. Want to easily transfer money or pay your bills? NBE PhoneCash allows you to simply transfer money. That is, with a simple finger tap and make many other transactions. The campaign highlights how NBE can transform your dream into a reality: it is not just a bank, it is a brand that allows you to dream big, catering to a variety of needs. We may have loved to see more of their features, and not just the new AI-driven technology. However, we all know that perfection is always on the way.

Cultural Significance and Audience Reception

The 2025 NBE Ramadan campaign has earned widespread attention and sparked conversations across various media platforms. The ad itself gained around 100 million+ views within its very first week of being aired. The audience reception was immense due to the “weird” nature of the collaboration between two diverse artists like Hamaki and Wegz. Additionally, the lyrics of how great Egypt is and how its history and future vision are shaping our present has gained a lot of positive reviews and emotions from the audience. It is safe to say that NBE’s strategic approach, choice of actors, and campaign idea reflect a deep understanding of Egypt’s cultural fabric which is a mixture between respect for history and Egyptian heritage and a thirst for modernity that the NBE is more than capable to quench.

Final Thoughts

It is rare to find something that resonates with a lot of people, but the NBE’s 2025 Ramadan campaign was capable of hitting the nostalgic spot while preparing us for a ride to a future that is filled with Elon Musk’s Cyber cabs and AI-driven banking services. It is safe to say that the NBE’s “جواك عالم يغير العالم” campaign is one that reflects the change and upgrades that the bank aims to deliver to its customers.

Through the collaboration of contemporary artists and the graceful AI-generated presence of Soad Hosny, the advertisement creates a compelling narrative that honors Egyptian history all while embracing innovation. The National Bank of Egypt is showcasing its advancements in banking technology and reinforcing its role as a custodian of Egyptian culture. This campaign appealed to a wide range of spectrum and is getting trendier by the second in Ramadan of 2025.
