The people behind one of Cairo’s most popular property developers, DMG| Mountain View, continues to lead the charge in not only providing great spaces and environments for customers, but also for their employees. Dar Al Mimar Group (DMG) was just awarded a certification that declares the company as a “Top Employer.”
Last week, independent HR certification company, the Top Employers Institute, awarded DMG with their certification, announcing them as one of the best employers who are dedicated to ensuring and providing some of the healthiest working environments in Egypt and the world.
According to Top Employers Institute, “Our comprehensive independent research revealed that Dar Al Mimar Group provides exceptional employee conditions, nurtures and develops talent throughout all levels of the organization and has demonstrated its leadership status in the HR environment, always striving to optimize its employment practices and to develop its employees.”
Top Employer CEO David Plink stated that “We believe that the 2019 certified organizations demonstrate exceptional employee conditions and encourage the development of these practices by putting their people first. These companies help enrich the world of work with their outstanding dedication to HR excellence, and because of this, they are recognized as an employer of choice.”
As a recognized Top Employer, DMG | Mountain View will be able to access tools provided by the institute that will help them strengthen their position as an employer of choice in Egypt. The certification comes with different resources such as workshops, conferences, and webinars provided by the Top Employer Program.
Top Employers Institute assesses participants through their global HR Best Practices Survey. In order to be certified, organizations must successfully achieve the required minimum standard as set out by the Top Employers Institute.
Organizations that go into the program have stated that it has helped them define and create HR strategies that support their employees and themselves as an employer brand. This helps them attract high-value talents that allow them to improve their business further.
Being certified does pay off for many certified companies as more and more of the workforces are looking less at the salary and more at company culture.
According to the Guardian, “Certified companies enjoy a 25% lower-than-average absenteeism rate and 33% lower-than-average employee turnover. Workplaces lose an average £83 for each day an employee is absent through illness, while the cost of replacing one employee is estimated at £30,000.* Applying these costs to the average Top Employer workforce would give annual savings of £750,000 from reduced absenteeism and £7m from reduced employee turnover. This serves as a financial reminder of the value of strategic HR investment.”
