Today, DMA for Design and Engineering Consultancy has announced joining forces with International CallisonRTKL for new smart cities management. Thus form a strategic alliance in the field of construction, management of new cities and urban planning in accordance with the global intelligent engineering and design systems.
This partnership strategy was announced during an expanded conference that was held today and entitled “Urban Planning and the latest global design trends,” in the presence of ministerial representatives and more than 50 of the leading real estate developers in Egypt and the region.
The conference was attended by representatives from the DMA Company, namely: Mr. Wael Ezz – DMA CEO, Mr. Marwan Farid – Commercial Associate Director, Mr. Tarek Qassem – Operations Associate Director, Mr. Mohamed Adel – Head of Urban Planning and Mr. Amr Mostafa – Design Principal. As for CallisonRTKL representatives, they were namely: Mr. Harold Thompson – Executive Director; Regional Director, Middle East, Mr. Noel Aveton – Vice President, Mr. Brian Adams – Vice President; Director of Planning and Urban Design, CallisonRTKL.
Representatives of DMA and CallisonRTKL highlighted the growing trends and potential opportunity within the real estate sector in Egypt. The conference demonstrated the potential behind a strategic alliance between leading international expertise and regional knowledge and exposure, particularly in enhancing local caliber.
It also illustrated that the alliance will offer new means to cost and time efficiency as well as offering unique and sustainable approaches for real estate developers and project end-users in housing, retail, office buildings, hospitality, health care, and mixed-use developments.
DMA’s CEO, Wael Ezz, capitalized on the fact that this new era will enhance design and engineering consulting services and products offered to Real Estate developers in Egypt, which will be particularly useful given the current economic conditions of the state. The edge here will be the blend of local knowledge and international exposure; this blend will maximize expertise and potential, largely enriching the Egyptian and regional real estate market.
CallisonRTKL’s Vice President, Noel Aveton, shed light on CallisonRTKL as one of the leading firms across the globe with a specialization in urban planning and architectural design that covers all real estate sectors, with more than 18 offices and 2,000 experts worldwide. Expanding on Aveton’s point, Brian Adams, CallisonRTKL Vice President Director of Planning and Urban Design, presented the global trends of urban development and master planning and how CallisonRTKL’s different approach will become a resource for DMA experts.
Finally, Harold Thompson, Regional Director, offered insight on what the future of retail and malls will hold using a thorough study of the evolution of shopping experiences as the design of commercial projects in the world transforms and develops.
The conference panel discussions explored, in-depth, the concerns that may arise with real estate projects, such as water, power, and energy limitations or rising populations, and the implications that develop with each. All in all, the representatives covered all aspects of the new real estate era, and addressed the problems that tend to develop in the industry.
