Inspired by the Dane Shitagi ballerina project, two young Egyptian photographers have published a series of portraits of ballerinas on the streets of Cairo. The very unique ballet account featuring the hidden beauty of Cairo!

Ballerinas of Cairo has recently blesed Social Media with beauty shots mixing the art of ballet dance with the remarkable architecture of Old Cairo in the background. “Ballerinas of Cairo” project highlighting Old Cairo’s history and landmarks will make you re-discover Cairo spots with a fresh eye.

Two Egyptian photographers launched Ballerinas of Cairo to unite Cairo’s dance and photography communities while also capturing the city’s beauty. With the first photograph posted few months ago on Instagram, photographers Mohamed Taher and Ahmed Fathy told Cairo Scene that their aim was to explore the beauty and diversity of Cairo.

“Ballerinas of Cairo” posts did not just featur Old Cairo’s Khan El Khalili but also it took beauty shoots of River Nile, Cairo Tower that have been shared on Facebook and Twitter thousands of times without knowing the source as they do not add watermarks or, branded photos.

“Ballerinas of Cairo” posting pictures about places in Cairo from different angles that most of us didn’t see before by most talented ballerinas dancing across the Egyptian capital.
