5 Marketing Tips by Ahmed Emad from Mondelēz International

Ahmed Emad, one of Egypt’s leading marketing and media professionals will take the stage on 15th October at the Marketing Kingdom Cairo 3 together with representatives from Kijamii, DigiSay, Initiative Media and FP7/CAI to discuss the role of agencies in driving the digital revolution in Egypt.

Ahmed kicked off his career as an intern in one of Egypt’s leading creative shops, then assuming different roles in the media business between Dubai, KSA, Lebanon and Egypt, working on Telecom, FMCGs, Confectionary ,Automotive, Banking, Retail, Real Estate and Haircare amongst other industries. Ahmed now overlooks the brand communication of Mondelēz International in the Mashreq region; on top of a mirror role as digital media lead in Middle East Africa.

We recently sat down with Ahmed and asked him to share 5 marketing tips for his Egyptian colleagues. Here they are:

1- Be relevant, be consistent.

2- There is no evasion of using technology. Consumers move much faster than brands do, so you adapt or you die.

3- Add value.. no one uses a product for just brand love anymore.

4- Don’t follow the herd, do what your business needs.. We are not in time of fluff.

5- Good marketing shouldn’t really feel like marketing, is a seamless extension to a consumer’s life.
