We love discussing creative adverts; if an advert is good, delivers the right message, and achieves all of its goals, then it is successful. As we all know, not all adverts are successful and not all are creative; over the years we have come across adverts that can be described as “ordinary” or “acceptable”; they don’t grab the attention and they lack creativity or purpose, and there are adverts that are simply bad.

Contents
  • 1- Fantazzia Bed x Menna Arafa
  • 2- Cottonil
  • 3- Dice
  • 4- El-Karnak
  • 5- KEEVA SABBOUR
  • 6- Beit El-Gomla
  • 7- Juhayna
  • 8- Vodafone x Abla Fahita
  • 9- Heart Attack
  • 10- Ariel X Essam El-Hadary

As much as we love talking about good and creative adverts, we can’t let the bad ones get off the hook! Today we will be showing you some adverts that we have no idea how they got the client’s approval or how the “Creative” team came up with the idea.

1- Fantazzia Bed x Menna Arafa

This advert went viral on social media platforms for how bad it is.

Everyone agreed that whenever this advert pops up, they just want to turn off the TV! Many sarcastic comments were made on this advert and almost all people mocked it and made memes out of it.

2- Cottonil

Cottonil could be the mother brand of bad advertisement.

Aside from the advert that was banned and taken down featuring Mais Hemdan. There are two more that we have no idea how they were approved!

First, we have the advert that was released in Ramadan 2021. The brand collaborated with Hassan Shakoush and Omar Kamal and with a “Not so special” appearance of Medhat Shalaby to say his famous line “Halla Halla, 3al Fanella”.

Another one was released in 2014 featuring the actor Hany Ramzy and as expected, it was another bad one!

3- Dice

The competition could get really fierce between Cottonil and Dice as they are competing on which advert could be the worst!

This advert was aired in Ramadan 2021 and it is one of the worst you could ever see!

4- El-Karnak

El-Karnak has one of the best desserts and one of the worst adverts!

The brand collaborated with the sha’by singer Mahmoud El-lithy and created a jingle-based advert that its jingle is a bad one.

5- KEEVA SABBOUR

Until now we can’t figure out the relevance between the advert’s idea and the slogan.

KEEVA collaborated with the famous actor Mohamed Farag and released this advert in October 2021.

We keep asking ourselves this very specific question; what is the point of Farag going into the swimming pool with his suit?!

6- Beit El-Gomla

This advert was released in Ramadan, and we can describe it in one simple word, CRINGE!

The implementation of the advert is at its worst and the idea is too basic.

7- Juhayna

We previously discussed this advert as it breaks the code of ethics of advertisement. This is why it is on this list!

8- Vodafone x Abla Fahita

As you might think the advert is funny, but it was inappropriate!

4 years ago Vodafone collaborated with the famous puppet Abla Fahita and released a jingle-based advert under the name of “El Net Zalem” or “The Internet Is Unfair”. The advert got attacked due to its impropriety and the use of sexual references.

9- Heart Attack

The brand collaborated with the actor Mohamed Tharwat and tried to create a funny advert but it was the complete opposite!

Although Mohamed Tharwat is known for his incredible sense of humor, this advert didn’t use it well. The advert was also a huge cringe and you’d probably switch the channel whenever it’s aired.

10- Ariel X Essam El-Hadary

Ariel collaborated with the icon goalkeeper Essam El-hadary and his wife a released one of the lamest adverts.

We don’t understand the relevance between the product and the concept of the advert!

Tell us which advert is the worst and which one you’d add to the list.
